1. Keyword research. Start the process by identifying the popular terms that are constantly being searched for by your target audience. This will help you in figuring out the best topics to talk about. Using keyword suggestion tools can help you speed up the whole process. These tools will generate the list of keywords on your niche based on their popularity or the number of times that they were searched for the last couple of weeks.
2. Make your blog posts unique. Instead of rewriting the articles that you see on other blogs, I suggest that you exert conscious effort to make your content stand out from the crowd. Once you figured out the topics that are popular in your niche, identify the angles that were not yet explored by your competitors and write about them.
3. Keep it short. Don't even try to waste your readers' time by making your blog posts unnecessarily lengthy. Just say what you mean upfront and make sure that each word you use counts. After writing your content, read it and identify the words that serve no function at all. Remove them from your posts to make them more concise and to the point.
4. Optimize your blog posts. Of course, you would like your blog to come up on search engine listings each time the keywords that you're targeting are searched for by your potential clients. This could happen if you properly optimize each of your posts. Use just enough number of keywords and strategically place them on key spots where search spiders can easily locate them.
